Learn to ride right, from the start
Welcome to Emily's website! My goal is to teach children and adults the ups and downs of horses. Whether working on dressage, galloping across a wide open field, or learning to post on the right diagonal, horses can give us ultimate joy! They also require a lot of attention. Since they can't snuggle up in bed with you (eventhough some would like to) the relationship that we create with horses has to be one of mutual admiration and understanding. Caring for these creatures allows you to have a bond with an animal that is unlike anything you have ever experienced. Come out and give it a try!
Riding Lessons at Stone Place
All levels and ages of riders accepted.
Lessons in basic riding, dressage, show jumping and cross-country.
Instruction is in various formats; individual, semi private, and groups.
Stone Place Stables is fortunate to have many reliable school horses ready to teach you the joys of riding.
We will help you achieve your goals.
Training Horses
Emily is available for training your horse as well. Emily trained many of her Event horses from OTTB's though the Preliminary level before selling them to riders that were ready to gain experience at the lower levels.
Emily's training techniques stem from the theory that the horse must freely move forward in harmony with the rider. A happy horse that understands their job will trust its rider instinctively, which allows the partnership to go beyond their wildest dreams!
Cross-Country Schools
Cross-country riding is Emily's love. Having competed in Eventing since 1977 and at the Upper Levels for 12 years has given Emily an appreciation and knowledge for what it takes to be successful in this endeavor. Cross-country schools can be arranged at Stone Place Stables or at any local course.
